Romeo Caporaso was born and raised in Adelaide to Italian migrant parents. He enjoyed finishing school at just 16 and university at 19. After completing university in 1992, he began his career in Business Banking at Commonwealth Bank, working in both Adelaide and Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. A notable achievement during his time in Sydney was purchasing his first property in Hurstville at the age of 23.
Returning to Adelaide, Romeo held accounting roles at RAA Insurance and Rossdale Homes, where he notably implemented the newly introduced Goods and Services Tax. He also worked for the Australian Taxation Office.
